My Spring Break Summed Up

This spring break I did so much and so little all at once. The week went by very fast and there was not a single day where I did nothing. The week started off with the weekend when I went to a fancy sushi restaurant with my parents because my mom's birthday was that coming Monday. The sushi place was very good and the inside was cute and decorated appropriately with a big cherry blossom tree and pink and blue LED lights throughout the restaurant. After we ate we went to Amorino which is a fancy gelato store in River Oaks. They make the ice cream rose shaped in cones and it is a very popular place. On Monday I ran a lot of errands to get my mom all of her birthday gifts because she was working and I had no other time to get it. I ended up getting her this fancy hair dryer she has been wanting and some attachments, some new makeup and skincare, flowers, and a cake. On Tuesday, I had a doctor's appointment and then went thrifting and went to Trader Joe's because they are very close to the office. After that, I went to the gym and rested. On Wednesday, I had a dentist appointment and then rushed home to get ready for the rodeo. I only went to the carnival part with some friends but it was very fun and I didn't get home until around midnight. We rode a lot of rides, ate some good food, and won a few stuffed animals. On Thursday, me and my family drove to San Antonio because me and my sister were going to a concert on Friday. My whole family drove up together and stayed at a hotel on the riverwalk. We went out to dinner that night when we got there and obviously had to stop by Voodoo Donuts. On Friday we woke up late around 11 and didn't get out of the hotel until around 12 but my parents had already eaten so me and my sister just got an iced coffee and then we all did a little shopping at the mall. We went to the Lego store and me and my sister each got a Lego flower set and we made ourselves and some friends custom Lego figures that looked like us and them. We ended up eating an early dinner around 3 at this popular Mexican restaurant on the river walk and it was very good. Me and my mom shared birria quesadillas and the famous corn bread and it was unlike anything I have eaten before. After we ate we went back to the hotel because I needed plenty of time to get ready. I had to wash and straighten my hair and do all my makeup. I am normally very slow at getting ready so having 2 hours was not even enough time in my opinion. My mom drove us to the stadium where me and my sister saw Drake and J. Cole perform for the Big as the What tour. I had been dying to see Drake live after I missed my chance to see him on the It's all a Blur tour so when I saw that his Texas date had changed to being over spring break I knew it was meant to be. We got there very early so we could get merch and take pics. We ended up getting a shirt and hoodie to share and some of our friend's shirts. The concert was amazing and probably my favorite concert I have ever been to. There were also some guest features that I did not expect such as Central Cee and Baby Von. Drake and J. Cole are very good performers who know how to get the crowd hyped up and this concert was definitely the highlight of my break. We did not get back to the hotel until around 1 am and the next day we had to wake up early to head back home. On the way home we stopped at Buccee's and I slept most of the car ride. On Sunday I rested and met up for lunch with one of my college friends that was in town to borrow his cap and gown for graduation and catch up. I also went to the gym and Target and it was overall a chill day. This break was the perfect amount of relaxation and fun and I am just waiting until it can be summer so I can live like this for 2 whole months!
