My Favorite Julia Memory

One of my most memorable memories with Julia was the Disney trip we went on last year. There were a lot of fun memorable moments in this trip that I will always remember. However, this is this one specific memory that I randomly remembered the other day and will most likely remember for the rest of my life. There was this one night where it was late and we were in the parks and we decided to try and squeeze in one last ride before the curfew time and we had to leave. Since it was the last ride we decided to ride a water ride. We had been procrastinating riding it all day because we wanted to avoid being wet the whole day. We realized this was the perfect opportunity and we put on our Dollar Tree ponchos in hopes of avoiding the splash. We thought it would not be too bad because the ride did not seem to be that bad of a splash but we were very wrong. There were about five of us on the ride and we were all filled with adrenaline from hyping ourselves up to finally go on the ride. I remember the ride had this big splash that we had stood and watched other groups go on earlier in the day and it seemed fun but scary. We sat in a long, little boat with our legs overlapping each other and our tiny ponchos that barely covered anything but we had full trust in. I unfortunately had to sit in the very front because I was the shortest and Julia was behind me. We were laughing and screaming before the ride even started and we would soon learn that it was reasonable. When we got to the big drop that went almost straight down we were screaming so loud. It was terrifying being at the very front going directly down in a little boat with no safety precautions. On top of all of that, when the boat went down me and Julia got blasted in the face with water while the people in the back barely got wet. After the drop, we were calmly floating along the river except we were laughing and wiping our faces while everyone was wondering why were freaking out. They soon realized why we thought everything was so funny when they saw our clothes soaking and our makeup running from the impact. Although it sounds bad, it was actually very fun and a core memory that I will always remember. We decided to go on it again because there was absolutely no line, except we made other people go in the front so they could understand how bad the drop is and afterwards we realized that it is way more fun being in the front than the back. After riding the ride two times we had to run back to the meeting place so we could return to the hotels. We were all soaking wet and laughing but we stopped at this restaurant to get food which was probably a bad decision considering we were already running behind. We ended up getting most of our food to go and we had to run all the way to the other side of the park while holding chicken tenders and fries. When we got back everyone was so confused why we were exhausted and soaking wet but in the end being late and having fun with everyone at Disney on a random week night will never happen again and it was so worth it. Although we have many memories from different events and trips, this was my most memorable moment of Julia and I am happy to have it.
